Studio Sain is a contemporary design studio focussing on experimental object design and conceptual educational workshops.
Founded in 2018 by Namuun Zimmermann and Martijn Rigters, Studio Sain explores the broader subject of design from a human-centred approach, working in the fields of object design, research and education.
Object Design
Combining conceptual thinking with material research and process experiment, Studio Sain seeks to create outcomes that are original in their aesthetics and functionality.
Approaching design from a holistic point of view, their aim is to combine human-driven techniques with the latest industrial processes, set within a rapidly changing and developing society.
about
Studio Sain is founded by Namuun Zimmermann (DE) and Martijn Rigters (NL), who formed their partnership after graduating from the Design Products course at the Royal College of Art, London.
NZ and MR, having worked in education and both industrial and experimental product design, decided to join their design disciplines in order to explore the potential of design in a multidisciplinary approach.
From their base in Vienna and London they work on a diverse field of projects, with international clients.
